Blanket Cover
A blanket cover is a very lightweight decorative covering that is layered over a blanket, almost like a decorative top sheet. A blanket cover is often used on hotel beds as the outermost layer over a blanket, protecting the blanket so it won’t need frequent laundering. The fitted sheet, flat sheet, and blanket cover can be pulled off the bed and washed in a single load. Blanket covers are usually poly/cotton blends, requiring very little attentions; no ironing necessary.
With a lower quality than both Pima and Egyptian, this short-staple cotton is the most common variety you’ll find. Labels that read “100% cotton” are typically Upland, and while still fairly durable, aren’t nearly as soft as other types.
A pillowcase is used to cover a sleeping pillow and sometimes a decorative or bolster pillow. It’s normally a rectangular shape with an opening on one end where you insert the pillow. It is recommended that you change your pillowcase at least twice per week to protect your facial skin from breakouts or skin irritation.
